For Quyn, Solar & Storage Africa 2026 at the Gallagher Convention Centre was more than just an industry event, it was a space filled with opportunity. As one of the continent’s most important renewable energy gatherings, it gave us the chance to build relationships, have meaningful conversations and explore opportunities that could support future growth across Africa.
As the largest renewable energy exhibition and conference on the continent, the event brought together a wide range of stakeholders from across Africa and international markets. With more than 650 exhibitors under one roof, it created a dynamic environment for insight sharing, collaboration and commercially meaningful conversations.
From solar PV and grid infrastructure to smart energy systems and digital technologies, the exhibition showcased the scale of innovation shaping the sector. Just as importantly, it reflected the increasing depth, maturity and momentum of Africa’s renewable energy market, with developers, installers, EPCs, technology providers and commercial energy users all contributing to the conversation.
For Quyn, the event was especially valuable from a strategic networking perspective. It gave us the opportunity to connect with potential customers, partners and industry players from across the continent, opening the door to conversations that could support future expansion into new African markets. Several engagements stood out as particularly promising, laying the foundation for partnerships we believe could translate into real opportunity in the months ahead.
Major industry players including ACDC, Sungrow and Huawei had a strong presence at the event, not only through their technology offerings but also through their collaboration with local EPC partners. That combination of global innovation and local execution is a powerful one. It points to the significant role the renewable energy sector can play in driving skills development, creating jobs and building long-term value across the energy value chain.
Events like Solar & Storage Africa do more than showcase technology. They bring the right people together, create space for strategic conversations, and help accelerate the partnerships needed to grow renewable energy adoption across the continent.
For us, it was an insightful, energising and commercially worthwhile experience, and one that reinforced the importance of being present in the spaces where Africa’s energy future is being shaped. We look forward to building on the momentum and connections created at this year’s expo.
